Internal Features Now that we have taken a look at the external features of the Cooler Master CM Media B260, let's crack open the cover and have a look inside. By removing the three thumbscrews, the cover slides back a few inches and can be lifted off with ease. The below left image shows the internals as it ships, and major features visible here include the 275W CFX power supply, the 5.25" and 3.5" drive cage, a large steel brace running from front to back, and a few loose items such as the manual and box of accessories. The below right image shows a side view of the open case in the area where the motherboard mounts, showing the BTX mounting plate.
  Below we see the front of the case with the bezel popped off. Two spring clips hold it at the top, and it is hinged by three tabs at the bottom. You must remove this in order to remove either the 5.25" or 3.5" bay covers for the two exposed drive bays. The below right image shows a side view of the drive cage, showing that the drives are held in place by a tool-less locking mechanism. Other than the thumbscrews that hold the cover on, this is the only tool-less feature you will find inside the CM Media B260. The drive cage mounts to the case via screws which have to be removed in order to properly install the motherboard, so even though drives go in nicely without tools, you still need tools to get the cage in and out. In other areas that 'could' be tool-less, you wind up needing a screw drive to secure all expansion cards, as well as for installing the power supply, which must be removed in order to install the motherboard.   The two images below show the motherboard mounting area of the case. Of interest are the well insulated cables for the front panel connections (USB, Firewire, audio) and the wires for the front panel LEDs and buttons.   You can also see the gasketed area where the BTX cooler will rest, which ensures that all the air drawn through the cooler is brought in from the outside of the case (helping to make sure it is as cool as possible).
